Without Feet . . . Ordering your cutting board without feet means you can use both sides as a cutting surface. Use one side for vegetables and the reserve for meats. This also helps insure that you wash both sides of the cutting surfaces helping keep the moisture content more equal. Because if you only apply moisture to one side the opposite side may dry out and crack.

With Feet . . . Feet provide an excellent grip on all counter tops, and are especially useful on those uneven surfaces, like tile and slate. If your cutting board has feet, after washing both sides you can set it down on the counter and be assured that air will dry the bottom of the board without the need to prop it against a vertical surface. You can still use the bottom of the board as a cutting surface the feet are installed out next to the corners leaving a area available in the cutting board‘s center.
