The construction of this display board features a centuries-old woodworking technique known as book matching. When you split a board down the middle and open the two halves like a book, you will find that the grain patterns are mirror images of each other. We glue these two Sapele halves together to form the front of the board and repeat the process for the back of the board. Finally, we trim the edges with a double row of edge grain Walnut for the boarder. I think you’ll appreciate the elegant Sapele wood grain picture framed in Walnut. This board looks as good on the wall, as it does on the counter; and makes a great display piece for your kitchen.
